HP Laserjet 2420D review by ITReviews
ITReviews posted a review of the HP Laserjet 2420D laser printer today. The 2420 series stands for high volume, monochrome printing at a speed of up to 28 pages per minute (ppm). Again, printing speed is often measured in ideal lab conditions where only the printing engine is considered the bottleneck, the people from ITReviews got a decent 14ppm out of this laser.
ITReviews writes:
Over £400 for a personal mono laser with a 250-sheet paper tray and no network capability is asking a lot. The Laserjet 2420d is reasonably cheap to run and prints fast, but, even assuming the print quality problems we saw are isolated to this unit, this printer looks over-priced.
They make a good point. However, I don’t really get why people keep testing the 2420(D) model of this series. I’m running several HP Laserjet 2430TN - same series but with the extra 500 sheet input tray and network connectivity - and am quite fond of them.
